Denzel Washington (Aries Spears), prior to his token win for Training Day, complains that he's never won a Best Actor Oscar and always loses to Tom Hanks. Clips showcase how every movie of his has a 'big speech' moment where he delivers that same emotional, lilting, Obama-esque 'acting.'

  • Training Day wasnt a "token win." Like in all of his movies, Denzel lived up to the role of the character and advanced in his ability to take on any character.

  • Halle did great with Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, it was beautiful, whatever the score cards for both are endless. It's crazy, but just like her rôle in that movie, both of them know that the award was their countless times past. Modern day Dorothy Dandridge and Sidney Poitier!

  • Oh yeah, that character was such a stretch. He probably had to do tons of research for that part, huh? I wouldn't say it was a token win, it was a win for his least hard working rôle. It was basically we are going to give you one but not one you can really be proud of. It will be what you are already stereotyped as and they did the same thing to Halle. As if that was her best rôle. It was two scenes short of being a ____ _ and I think you can fill in the blank_

  • Im pumped, lawls!

  • HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH XDXDXDXDXDXDXD !

  • @meggabadgirl it was a t oken win because everybody knows he should have won for the hurricane the year before - and before that, for malcom x. but of course the academy does not want to give an award to spike lee so they couldn't let him win for malcome x.

  • @Smurfboyrod585 definitely...Aries Spears just has Denzel mannerisms and demeanor down.
