Alex Skolnick is one of my favourite guitarists- I have seen/met him in person three times, he autographed my plectrum in Graspop Metal Meeting 2008, Belgium. These solos are from Testament's 1987 album 'The Legacy', a must have for any Thrash metal fans. I tried to get the tone as close as possible, back then Skolnick used the same preamp that I am currently using (ADA MP-1).

  • Goddamn I want your Charvel so fucking bad!! Nice playing btw.

  • Awesome job with the sweeps. Deffiently the toughest part of the solo. It always amazes me that Skolnick wrote that when he was fifteen.
