@7Collies I'm from Minnesota, and I completely understand your pain. Even though I am not of native descent at all.

What civilization has taken from the Saami it may yet give back.
The old ways will return when the cities crumble.

I wanna learn the Sami language; that would be awesome even though I'm only like 1/32 Sami or something like that. I'm actually 1/32 American Indian for sure, so that's kinda cool. Actually that just shows you how not Sami I am since I'm 1/32 American Indian but justlook white. Although, I'm certain that my brown eyes came from my grandpa who is 1/4 American Indian. So I suppose that some Sami traits may have been passed down to me, but I can't tell as well as I can with American Indian traits.

@Chrysania There are indeed different languages. They differ so much, we can't talk to other tribes from other regions. Not just dialects, but languages

@TheHammit idk!! really?lol...cool.
As a child of 5 or 6 my grandfather took me to see the Reindeer displayed in Minneapolis one winter. He sobbed quietly, told of how his ancestors in the old country relied on the Reindeer for life. As an urban child of 1950s America it meant nothing. 50 years later I know and embrace my heritage. The reindeer are to the Sami like the Tatanka [Bison] to the Lakota, the animal that gives everything, and makes life possible.
