very cool man i am putting a 350sbc in my 1982 rx7 right now  but i am doing every thing my self i made my motor mounts and trans mount i kinda wish i would have just got the grannys kit but its to late for that now what kind of changes have you done to the car since 07 if i may ask

I haven't done anything as far as upgrades, the chassis has like 250k miles and it's really starting to show. Chasing electrical gremlins and fixing the clutch linkage which has bent/broken countless times at nearly every point in the system, is keeping me pretty busy. Motor rebuild/e303 cam and solid axle 4 link in the uprade schedule for the future.

v8 doesnt make the car better, its cheap hp yes, but if u put a real rotary engine like 20b it will smoke that whatever you do!

to clarify... the "grinding" noise is not a grinding at all, it's the loose exhaust brackets on the h-pipe rattling like crazy, car just passed smog last week BTW lol in CA! and the weight balance issue has been debated and put to rest, aluminum hood, heads+batt relocation and ur good to go
