  • @dusky233fc kinda what you'd call more overkill by the federal government?

  • @tupsumato You are free to call a towboat a pusher if you like, the same as you can call your driveway a parkway. It is always best to use common terminology to avoid confusion.

  • 240' boat.... 110' deck barge... hope they have the horsepower...

  • put it like this, I rode a towboat smaller than this and it had 5000 hp....a lot of your Lower Miss. towboats are 10,500 and up...some at 12,000 hp

  • and its only has 3000 hp....that's it

  • So, a tugboat tows barges and a towboat... pushes them?

I prefer to use the term "pusher" :>

  • yea its a towboat i hate it when people mispronounce i am a retired deckhand

  • It's not a tugboat...it's a TOWBOAT....sheesh

  • ehm.... not really a beautifull piece on engineering :-) Looks like a floating skyscraper. And isn't this a pushing boat instead of a tug? A tug tows things, and this only pushes....

  • im the 1st one to comment here :D
