Dr. James Hansen of NASA's Goddard Institute addresses 75 international union leaders about the urgency of the climate crisis. The presentation was given in NYC on 10/10/12, and was part of the Energy Emergency, Energy Transition roundtable convened by Cornell University's Global Labor Institute (GLI), a program of the Worker Institute at Cornell, and the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation.

It is common knowledge that aerosols from Asia are dampening temperatures, possibly in total worldwide by over a degree C. For example, in the mid 1970s, when European cleaned up its acid rain, temps rose a lot!

Hansen calls this the "Faustian bargain" in his book "Storms of My Grandchildren."

Graph at 4:35 shows no increase in Global temperature averaged over last 9 years and Dr, Hansen did not address that. It's good otherwise.
