An example of how one might do a science project online using digital media instead of a traditional board for a science fair. Using the concepts of density and buoyant force, I quickly go through the scientific method steps as an example of how students in grade 8 science might make their own science fair videos.

  • how would you put the results in a data table or graph?

  • @Naruto1DDR

This is more of a demonstration than an experiment. It does not lend itself well to graphing, as there are no repeatable measurements to be taken.

However, if you wish to find the 'magic' number for the buoyant force of water and salt (the amount that will make an egg rise/float instead of sink), take a fixed amount of water, say 250 ml, and add 1g of salt at a time until the egg floats. You can graph this to show how much salt it takes for an egg to float.

  • MAN YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER ty

  • haha i used this 4 my project!!! xD

  • Was the egg hard boiled?

  • @RoleyPoley1000 Ima use this as a project too

  • Jus used this for my Scientific Method Poster. Thank You!!

  • Awesome! When I was in fifth grade, I did "Will white flowers change it's color if there is food coloring added to the water?" I like this one. Good job.

  • @RoleyPoley1000 me too
