This is an instructional video of how I like to prepare and drink Yerba Mate. I love Yerba Mate so much I created a website to help introduce it to those who have never tried it. http://www.yerbamatedrinker.com. Enjoy Yerba Mate and share it with friends! It's more then just another green tea! The best place I have found to buy Yerba Mate is http://www.gauchogourmet.com/. They have the most flavors I've ever seen available anywhere! Just check out this page here http://www.gauchogourmet.com/yerba-mate.html WoW!

  • Mate cocido? Hmm, never heard of that brand. stomach-friendly is nice. Will have to search for this :-) Thanks for the tip. What part of Argentina? I have been to the Chaco - Resistencia. Amazing place and I met some amazing people! That is where I discovered Yerba!

  • I'm from Argentine, Do you taste the Mate cocido? I think is better. and more stomach-friendly.

  • Cruz De Malta, same thing?

  • @anthonysitalianfood No that is a trademark, the mate cocido is drunk like a tea, without bombilla, you have to pour or strain the yerba before drinking.

  • Oh, interesting. No, I have never tried that. I have seen the tea bag versions of Yerba though and often thought how good that was. Will have to try it.

  • Pulgares arriba si sos de Apóstoles, Misiones o Argentina !

  • yeah... I've been to Resistencia. The Chaco! Great place.. Had an amazing time!

  • @anthonysitalianfood I believe mate cocido is just the dried/toasted mate that comes in the common tea bag form. There's different brands, like Rosamonte and Taragui. The taste is closer to that of an herbal tea since it's prepared like one (tea bag in hot water). It tastes a bit sweeter when you drink it like this since the flavor is not as concentrated.

  • @anthonysitalianfood Me too, last year i went there with my father.

    Thanks for that love, man.

  • Oh yes! LOVE it! It's really good with ice cold lemonade on a hot summer day. Tried this last summer and loved it! Yerba is also very good in a fresh grapefruit. I have a page on this here:

    yerbamatedrinker (dot) com/yerba_mate_and_grapefruit.html

Not sure if that has a special name or not, but very good! :-) Ciao!
