Curvy girls are so beautiful why should they feel shame? Why should I feel shame for adoring them?

Excerpt from BeingFetishized: http://bit.ly/4aWwut
FemmeBoys, FatGirls, TransWomen, Otherly Abled, SexWorkers, RacialOthers, CasteOthers and GenderOthers. Desire for us is wrong. it is driven underground into sexual fantasies and kinks. Those who desire us have a perversion, a fetish. I did not understand this until I started expressing my femininity and revealing skin in my outfits.
I really expressed myself I received declarations of lust and adoration from men and women, gay and straight. But the increased interest in Jasper as a sexual partner seemed matched by a hugely diminished acceptability of Jasper for partnership.
It is a different take on the Madonna Whore dichotomy. We are are like Nuns and Adolescents in that we given the asexual status. We can be someones sister or friend but not their lover. Once we resist this asexual status and express ourselves as sexual beings we are get the slut status. We become sexy, but we are not the kind of girl you take home to meet your friends.
In the standard Madonna/Whore split, a woman can take on the asexual role of wife or mother. The fetishized groups choose between invisibility and sexual objectification. Wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend; these categories do not easily mix with our fetishized statuses.

  • Thanks, for chiming in. You know that biopower is fucking with you when you write off anyone interested in you. Transwomen have a similar complex relationship with trannychasers. It is as if we have to be loved despite our Otherness and not because of it.

  • Well written. (and I loved the pictures). I am lucky enough to be living in a part of the world (the Dominican Republic) wear women embrace their curves (as do the men) and show them off with the tightest clothes possible. I chuckle..because my education was to buy lose fitting clothes (as a woman in Europe) and here the norm is to buy the size UNDER one's size..and if it is in Lycra/stretch fabric, all the better!...oh the curves..heaven! it is bliss to look and enjoy women who walk with pride!

  • It's a troubling internal conflict--to believe in one part of your mind that you're body is sexy, and to simultaneously believe that most people don't perceive this to be true. I'm always conscious of (and bothered by) my contradictory thought processes when I begin to write off someone's attraction to me as a fat fetish...I'd assume that a lot of other fat girls are too!

Cheers--I adore you and your videos :)

  • In response to fat girls considering you a fetishist... As a fat girl, I've definitely struggled with this mindset within myself. Even fat positive girls often have unresolved issues with their bodies & internalized fat hatred. It's hard to truly think of yourself as beautiful & attractive when you're given so many cultural signals that this is not the case. Sometimes you just can't believe that anyone could genuinely be attracted to you so your mind jumps to assume that it must be a fetish.
