Possibly some of the loudest music ever recorded.
Big Black comprised of Steve Albini, Santiago Durango, Dave Riley and dr. Roland, and created a terrific noise amongst them. This recording is from the Blast First 'Nothing short of total war' album, live at the Old Welsh men club in Chicago '86.

  • Oh yeah, lol. I see some people quoting the

'Steve Albini Documentary' here on YouTube, "most people dont know his name.

but everyones heard his work!" lol.

On the 2+2 Poker Forums, someone posted a link to this very video for Steve, and his response on what he thought of it was "Extraordinarily Lame".

  • Actually when you look at the logs of that session, you'd find Steve was asked about 'Don't call me producer'. That was his reply. LordGuttz somehow makes it sound as if he was talking about this vid, but obviously not... This film is a piece of Art about an arsonist that works at a KFC restaurant - bound to make an Emmy.

  • Dedicated to all of us who spent our teenage years in miserable small towns!

  • Swans and Foetus are both great and there's a collaboration between them called Wiseblood which is worth checking out.

I'd also recommend Cop Shoot Cop. Two bassists--nice and heavy but sometimes tuneful--with touches of jazz, punk and industrial here and there. Very underrated noise rock act.

  • @MoonpieCCSD There's a compilation out there called Mesomorph Enduros which has all those bands on it. If it wasn't for their appearance on that CD I'd think you just made the name "Of Cabbage and Kings" up on the spot :D

  • @Sesquipedaliantique Of Cabbage and Kings. Brutal.

  • This is on Blast First Nothing Short of Total War.
