On May 22, 2006, Emily Bowness was on her way to a concert when her SUV rolled multiple times. She was injured, but because she was wearing a seat belt her life was saved. A deputy caught the crash on camera.
crashes aren't wearing seatbelts. Approximately 80% of people in the US do wear seatbelts regularly therefore the 1 out of 5 people that don't wear their seatbelts account for the 2/3s of people killed in car crashes every year. Your also 25 times more likely to be killed if you're ejected from the car then if you stay in it...
Great PSA! There seem to be three views towards seatbelts. Those who wear their seatbelts religiously and make sure their passengers do the same. There are those who sometimes wear them and sometimes don't. And there are those who hate seatbelts with a passion. Everyone who hates seatbelts seems to have heard a vague and untrue story that seatbelts can trap people and its better to be thrown out of the car in an accident. Whats ironic is that 2/3 of people in the US killed each year in auto
