Your first problem is you assume all are a child of God. Of course God would not torment His own children. Your problem is you assume all are children of God. The Bible never says this. It says there are children of God and of the devil (1 John 3:8-10). Secondly, your problem is that you aren't viewing it in correct perspective. What good judge is there that does not send guilty criminals to prison, to protect society? What good judge refuses to punish murderers, rapists, and thieves?
@GolgothanGrace It is the doctrine of eternal torment that makes our God a failure as a Father. Because I could never allow my own children to be burned for one second. Or is the doctrine of eternal torment a misinterpretation of scripture and something else?
