Another angle (strictly above in this one) of the Virginia State Record 88-way skydiving formation built on September 7th, 2008 above the skies of Skydive The Point (STP) in West Point, VA. In this video, Gregor Weeks - also from Delmarva, can be seen approaching to enter his slot in the formation, passing by the cameraman at exactly the 45sec mark, in the white and purple jump-suit, at approx the 7 o'clock position in-frame. This jump was the last one on Sunday, fighting the waning daylight, and was also to be the last of the event - and it came off FLAWLESSLY, capping off a beautiful weekend, which also recognized the birthday of THE queen of the skies herself, Carolyn Clay. This aint no MTV sissy-fied video with music. This is the straight-forward raw stuff, of what a large-way RW Formation State Record skydive jump is all about. Enjoy, b*tches! ;-)
This particular jump was done from @18k, although as you can see - we did not actually even need all that! Most record attempts I have been on in recent years, going for anything above say 75-way, seems to just routinely now adays take 'em to 18k as just simple standard "SOP". Thanks for posting the comment(s)! :-)
