This is my HSC '08 extension 2 english major work, based on a boy with autism and his daily rituals. Stop, look, and think inside his circle.

  • This is sooo good. honestly, its the BEST one i've seen. Actually, i've used it in my journal to refer to and have watched it so many times now! Is it possible if i could get a hold of your reflection statement? I haven't been able to find any model ones for video and this would be a really good one to look at :)

  • @noworriez1 Oh that's really lovely to hear. Sure, I have it on my computer somewhere... what's your email?

  • great video! truly one of the best i've seen :) i rekon u deserved a 49-50, but still 48, nothing to complain about :L

just wondering though, what inspired u do this, and what kind of "research" in terms of literature or w/e the bos wants, did u use?

    Thanks! :)

  • @mrdstar93 thanks man. Remember, that mark includes your reflection statement, which I was finishing the morning it was due. Bad idea. Also, I could've polished this film a lot more. I read 'curious incident of the dog in the night time' and I just loved the idea of showing from a child's perspective. BoS is looking for what other films you watched, books you've read... but mainly how you tie it back to texts and modules you studied in English Adv. or Ext 1. Quotes, references. Good luck!

  • Fantastic, Best Ex 2 video ive seen!!!

Can I ask, how did you format your script? Does it include camera angles and stage directions?

  • @13abie aw thanks. :)

My script was really short as there are only a couple of lines in the film. I think the main purpose to record what's spoken in case the HSC markers can't hear/understand it.

  • I'm not posting my entire reflection statement on here. Last time I checked, projects didn't have to be interpretations of an overused poem or an over-thought cliche.

  • I thought it deserved another mark or two to be honest. It was great!

  • @kcaj123456 Hmmmmm.. modern history, biology, vis arts, French continuers, 4 unit english. I think that was it. but I finished French in year 11, soooo I really only 'did' 10 units in year 12.

  • wow this is really amazing. I love how you've utilised the circle and the colour red motif. HSC markers love that because it structures the story, helping it to flow consistently and to collectively end the creative piece impressively.

Great work! i was wondering if it would be possible to read ur reflection statement pls? Thanks a billion :)

  • wow that was amazing! :) inspired.

  • @helensister oh maybe not. it just looked a lot like where i live is all, haha
