@altfactor And it's also my opinion that had Kenny Rogers stayed in Hard Rock, he would have been just as successful in that as he has been in Country.
He simply has the goods.

For many of Kenny Rogers' younger fans, who know him as one of the biggest stars in the history of Country music, it might be a shock for them to learn that his first big hit was as loud, as hard-rocking, and as psychedelic a song as any that was recorded in 1968!
I loved this song as a young boy, and I still love it now.
