it is sad but the medical people are stupid
his heart was beating and they tried to start it again
so electricity at deadly strength to a beating heart=death
then they dont try to bring him back when he really is dead

Now this gotta be one of the most creative ending sequence in horror movies history, the kind of twist you don't expect from most horror movies these days.The movie ends on a sad note that is seldom to be found and its actually touching/philosophical in a way.this ending sequence's the proof that horror/suspense movies CAN be extremely witty as well in terms of structure and story telling and not just rely on gore and guts.
