NBA Eastern Conference Finals 1994 between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers. this is Game 5....For only Old School Fanatics!!! Enjoy the game!
And, in closing, all you New York fags can suck it hard. Your team was a bunch of boys..all they were, a bunch of mental retards that played basketball like thug 13 year olds..kicking players while they were down, committing unnecessary flagrant fouls, doing all kinds of dirty, cheap tactics. I really hope these NY players weren't like this off the court, but stupid ass fucks like Starks, Anthony, Oakley etc etc, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if they were..
Anyone who liked or condoned these fucking faggot Knick bitches style of play, is a total douchewad. They were dirty, cheap, little fucking stupid ass children who bitched and moaned when things didn't go their way. Compare them to a team like the '94 Bulls, with classy, true MEN, like Cartwright, Paxson, Grant, Williams, Armstrong, the whole team, really. And you realize what fuckwads these assclowns from New York really were.
You call what the New York Dickheads did playing with heart and emotion? LMAO..you halfwit. They were fucking immature little bitch asses. I watched the ECSF series they had with Chicago, and it would take me HOURS to describe all the cheap ass bullshit they did to the Bulls players..fuck needle dick Starks, Harper, Oakley, Mason, Ewing..ALL OF EM. They're all disgusting pieces of horseshit, worthless human beings. Fuck them all.
@MrCheezyQ I agree man. There were so many great memories, and some not so great memories (this game lol)
But These are games I'll never forget. Being a Knicks fan, I LOVED these teams. I loved guys like Ewing, Oakley, and Starks. Guys that, like you said, left their guts on the floor and played witha ton of heart and emotion.
I think everything, today, is too politcally correct and that's why a lot of stuff today isn't as good as it was back in the day
@GialloHorror I think the main difference between then and now is personality. Nearly everyone in the league talked major trash back then, and they all laid their personalities and their guts on the court. Now it's all too politically correct. Like my man Blake Griffin. In the 80s/90s, with his ability, he STILL would've HAD to trash talk to survive. Talk was part of the game. Not these days, though. You'll never see Blake put up a choke sign at Spike Lee or shrug after a hot streak like Jordan.
And yeah, I know that's what guys like Riley and Daly wanted...but I also think it was a detriment to their teams. Really, those Pistons teams were very talented. Even the Knicks had solid pieces in place. But if you go too hard and too tough on defense, you can't be as aggressive on offense. So those teams had LONG stretches where they would struggle to score, especially against teams like the Bulls and Pacers - teams that played tough defense, but where also very solid offensively.
@GialloHorror Yeah, I do miss the tougher days of the NBA. But to be honest, I also felt this kind of ball was sloppy. I love the effort and the toughness it took to make it through all those Eastern Conference battles. But it did start to get bad after a while. Too often guys like Laimbeer/Rodman and Mason/Starks didn't draw the line between tough play and just plain dirty, and that's why the rules got changed. So the NBA ended up going too far in pansying up the game.
@MrCheezyQ I guess, but that's why The NBA is a joke today. People still talk about Bulls/Pistons, Bulls/Knicks, Pacers/Knicks, Heat/Knicks.
Nobody even remember the finals last year.
This is the way basketball should be played. As far as The Knicks being hated, that's how Pat Riley wanted it to be. He wanted them to be the most physical, toughest, hated team in the league, and they succeeded.
@GialloHorror LOL, if the Knicks played defense like this today, they'd never finish a game with enough players. They'd all foul out in the first half of every game. The Pistons/Knicks defenses of those days were responsible for all the new defensive rules changes. I loved the physicality and toughness of those days, but the Knicks and Pistons too often took it WAY too far. There's a reason why guys like Jordan and Miller hated, and showed up, the Knicks. They hated the way that they played.
@LuigiLaker jeez hate the Knicks? lol I can relate except I hate the fuckin Pistons and Suns
