  • Hello ladies, thanks again for the wonderful recipes. I've always been sprouting mung without any problems but when I tried it 2 days ago, I found a considerable portion of my mung which not only didn't sprout, but also stayed tight and dry despite being first soaked and tied in a cloth for 2 days. Did I do something wrong or are the mung beans of bad quality?

  • @kbkushalutube : You are right - sometimes the batch is bad and unfortunately, there is no way of knowing that before you start the process. Just a suggestion - last time that happened to us, we just put it in the cooker and made daal out of it instead of throwing it away.

  • Hey ladies..I followed the instructions properly and my sprouts grew well ..but the problem is they are so slimy that I don't feel like eating it..what went wrong?

  • @shalini13784 : Sometimes when it is too warm, the beans sprout fast. We think you may have kept them out too long. Next time, you might want to remove them a little earlier and maybe, rinse them in between the sprouting as well.

    Hope that helps.

  • can you sprout methi seeds? I would love to know if it is done the same with the pulses.

  • @AlzAdventures : Yes, you can sprout methi seeds and it is done the same way as the pulses. You can also use those sprouted seeds to make curries and pulaos.

    Enjoy :)

  • WARNING: Sprouted kidney beans are poisonous!

  • i use only small beans for Raw smoothies . In reply to IBOUMA ; most large bean sprouts Do have more enzyme inhibitors and should be cooked before eating.

After all one main benefit of soaking/sprouting is to reduce digestive stress. Whats the use of eating something that doesn't want to be digested ??

    Small beans ,sprouted = Raw

Large beans ,sprouted = Cooked :)

  • AEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE@2000xlt : yes, it will work. In our method, we too allow the milk to cool down before adding the starter and then move the milk to the oven so that the milk cools down slowly in a warm place.

  • Very helpful instructions, thank you!

  • I really appreciate and love your videos. So educational and helpful. I enjoy Indian food very much and learning to make some of it is really fun as well as enjoyable. Thank you.

  • So interesting, different from other videos I've seen, much clearer. I liked the part about fooling it into thinking it's underground - it helped me understand a mysterious process. Well done.
