How many did you end up running there Fastmikie? That was some good shootin' buddy. I play a lot of straight pool but I am nowhere close to your skill level. I love watching someone like Johnny Archer run 120 balls. To me, that is a beautiful thing. The skill and concentration it takes to do that is beyond me. Thanks for posting.

The main abilities required to play successful Straight Pool are;- - Solid fundamentals - Good Concentration - Imagination - Being able to improvise - Reading The Stack - Patience - Good rack management - Good CB control - Ability to run balls comfortably - Sense of timing = knowing when to play safe or to take a shot on Very nice videos Mike, thanks for posting buddy and you got a new subscriber :)

Yeah, it was totally awesome. Learning from them in that environment was like trying to drink from a fire hose. That's why I had to get it on video. What a couple of real gentlemen. They made it a real pleasure.

I guess you could say I was in the right place at the right time when opportunity knocked... The visit by Johnny and Nick was actually the first stop on a 2-week exhibition tour of the west coast. They were in the San Diego area on the day before their scheduled start date, and no plans, so I got lucky to be called with an opportunity to hire them for a couple of hours for a private lesson.
