  • Hey, that plexiglass cover on the back, protecting the electronics, is that factory made or custom?

  • @hellomynameisscen - The cover is a design feature installed at the factory. The back-mounted controls are covered by transparent covers to give the impression from a distance that there are no covers without risking the inevitable damage to the electrics inside by actually leaving them off.

  • Thanks for the great review. This helped me make -up my mind on which L.P. model that I will buy first. I am purchasing the 1st one today as soon as American musical supply opens up. Thanks again.

  • superb review - thanks dude

  • I've got one for sale.. in European Union-800 euros-mint

  • @GunsNRosesliveson Yes, this guitar is about $1,025.

  • Is an unfinished les paul cheaper

  • The one thing I hate about this guitar is that when it first came out it was affordable. Then Gary Moore made it his signature guitar so they added a few cosmetic features and jacked the price waaay up.

  • @TeleDesciple They advertised it as thier highest output guitar ever and marketed it towards the extreme metal end of the spectrum, God knows why.

  • @theshyguitarist its routed for a P90, but a mini-humbucker (a la Les Paul Deluxe) would fit in there, which also has its own distinct sound, you won't get a standard Gibson sized humbucker in there though.

  • I put a P-94 (same as P-90 but with humbucker sized pot so additional mods are needed) in the neck position of my LP Studio a while back. It sounds great, especially blended with the 498T in the bridge! How would you compare the BB3 with the 498T?

  • Is the neck pickup routed for either a p90 or humbucker, or is it machined only for a p90?
