http://www.euronews.com/ King Abdullah II of Jordan has become the first foreign dignitary of his kind to visit the West Bank since the successful bid by President Abbas for UN recognition of a Palestinian state.
The trip is seen as a morale boost for the Palestinians.
Jordan is one of two Arab countries to have a peace agreement with Israel. But its delegation threw its weight behind Ramallah.
The Foreign Minister Naser Judeh attacked Israel's settlements in the occupied West Bank:
"The policy is unacceptable to us as the Jordanian Kingdom and also to Arabs and Muslims all over the world," he said.
Another Jordanian diplomat said the king's visit would strengthen their support for the Palestinians and build on the success at the United Nations.
Earlier this year Jordan was involved with what were described as "exploratory meetings" to look at a possible revival of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks - with no results.

Yet another Arab leader using the Palestinian issue to detract from domestic issues. Abdullah is an absolute monarch- no different from a dictator.
What is the muslim obsession with Palestinians? Lets put this in context- about 120 Palestinians died in the recent conflict in Gaza. 40,000 Syrians have been killed and in Burma thousands of Rohingya muslims have been killed and persecuted... so where is the muslim outrage there?
