Buck Rogers Cussing

Here are 3 clips from the Buck Rogers Collections that show him actually cussing. The first clip isn't so much swearing today, but back in 1979, you couldn't say FART let alone BALLS. The first 2 clips are from the Movie pilot and the 3rd clip is from the first TV episode "Planet of the Slave Girls" which was the first TV episode. I know it says, something wrong with your "Funk & Wagnals", but it sure sounds like something else. Enjoy!!

Nobody knows what "Funk & Wagnalls" means? It's the name of a publisher of dictionaries and encyclopediae. Look up the term on Wikipedia.

He said Funk and Wagnalls...it was an ENCYCLOPEDIA set that was found mostly in grocery stores at the time the show was made...actually I remember seeing them when I was growing up, into the early 1990s...

i think the "joke" is that "if you call that interfering" basically, "if you think the term interfering describes what happened" then there is something wrong with your learning materials (you must have bad vocabulary or not be very smart)

the "Funk and Wagnals" comment was originally a gag on "Laugh-In".

I saw this twice when BR first aired and could never get my mom to believe what I thought I'd heard.

Waited thirty years to find this.. trippy, and glad to see I wasn't crazy or mistaken like my mom said i was!

@JamesPrine It didn't but I remember when that episode first aired and me and my mom were like did he just say the "F" word. Funk and Wagnals coming off the tongue in that speed sounds like a vulgar word.
