A Father's Day Special, featuring a very special guest: my Dad! Couldn't think of a better video to make for the day. This is T.S. Eliot's poem 'Growltiger's Last Stand' from his collection of cat poems, 'Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats' - in morse code. Hope this is as soporific for some of you as it is for me. Thanks Dad, loves ya! x

  • They don't always have to be relaxing to be enjoyable! Awesome video! Lest we all forget, this was the only way to communicate long distances quickly. Its awesome seeing how far we've come technologically. This video is a great contrast of past and present. Thanks soundsculptures! Happy father's day to your dad!

  • @duality673 Thank you very much, I'm glad you can appreciate this all the same. Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but morse has played an important part in our recent history, as you say, and I remembered how I found it very relaxing listening as a child. Thanks for your comment.

  • I managed to recognise the 'So' out of 'soundsculptures' and that was all... :(

I've never associated the noise as relaxing but the longer i listened the more it relaxed me.

  • @HeyYashamaru Ah, I'm glad this starting working the magic over time.

  • wow. Happy Fathers Day Mr. SOUNDsculptures Dad!! That was fantastic.

  • @erleichda Thanks very much!

  • Not so sure about the actually morse code noise, but I absolutely love the noise that the pen makes on the board when he's writing :)

  • Awesome vid! Where did your Dad learn to do Morse Code by the way Soundsculptures? Was he a signaller in the forces?

  • @Moto561 It's an old method of communication over radio sets as speech was often very distorted or bad quality so the person on the receiving end could not understand. Ships used it along with Aircraft for decades in the 20th Century.

  • I dnt understand what he's doing is for deaf people?

  • luv ya writing :]

  • This is super cool!!! I love seeing old technologies like this still being used.

  • This was very intriguing.

  • those aren't your hands

  • i'm the 2222 Viewer! LOL

  • Holy crap, amazing how he knows all letters....

  • This is a very well-made video: well-executed and well-edited.
