Heartbeats; Enigma Solihull RC Senior BSJA

Wow! We had such a good day and thoroughly enjoyed myself (and I think little hoss did too!). This was our first time at Solihull RC and i really liked it, the courses were lovely and the arena fabulous. Enigma was an absolute superstar. I thought she'd be a bit spooky and back off the fences (which were covered in flowers!) as she'd never been there before, however we had a lovely double clear in the BN (one more to go!) and pinged round beautifully. I felt much more together too and relaxed my back and got my legs on (although my new boots make my legs look a bit flappy in the vid... they're still abit stiff!! Lol!) and we felt like a team again!

We had a brilliant Discovery too and ended up coming 6th out of about 60 competitors... of which some of those riders were Oli Townend, Di Lampard (who I would happily hang up my hat for and just watch her ride round all day... stunning rider!) and a load of other important peeps that i recongnised but couldn't name! Ha! Well, my little lady, who again was the smallest there, proved you don't always need big money and flashy horses to achieve things. A little determination, lots of heart, self belief and if in doubt... kick like sh*t! It goes a long way. I'm so proud of her and she just seems to keep on improving all the time, she is teaching me alot and sorry to sound mushy, but i love her dearly!

Zarastargypcietazer was there competing too and we were both placed in the disco. Mara II looked lovely and Zara rode brilliantly and we had a quick natter, hopefully I'll see you out and about again soon and not jibber on while you're trying to hear the results! WOW that is awesome Enigma is such a nice little girl!!!!! your ride her really well!!!!! really nice corse too, its so amazing to be in the same arena as big riders like those guys!!!! Really nice job!!

Thanks very much, really kind of you! The courses there were lovely and spacious, you could get into a really nice forward rhythm and had time to breath and set up for the next fence and it was very inspiring riding against those riders, I was following Oli round the warm up ring over fences, you can learn so much from just watching them ride too.
