The video is a re-cut from the silent film Speedy (1928), starring Harold Lloyd and Ann Christy. The audio loop is from Miroirs: Une barque sur l'ocean, composed by Maurice Ravel and played by Werner Haas.

  • @Joltyness Lol they may be unsafe but they sure look alooot cooler

then the oneswe have today lol. They seem abit more interactive then

just sit and enjoy the ride. 1:34 cool 2:09 that looks amazing 2:14

I would pay 20 dollars just to do that once.

  • Did you cut some of the titles out? In the scene where the lobster hooks on to the undergarment in the woman's purse, when she catches up to Harold she tells him that men like him are the reason she doesn't usually wear underwear.

  • Just curious, does anybody have the whole 'It smells like rain' fight scene from Speedy they can put up? That's the best part of the whole movie!

  • @Joltyness In Fatty Arbuckle and Buster Keaton's short Coney Island, Fatty and a girl got sent down on that boat thing and they fell out into the water!

  • @Makanai3 Looks like a funnel cake to me! :)

  • He looked a bit startled at the end of that slide, wonder if it was a real reaction.

  • @Makanai3 Now you made me curious.Donut?

  • When I first saw this movie with my family, we joked about how incredibly unsafe all the rides looked, haha.

  • @1400deadwood Thanks! I have never had a pecan nut cluster before. It looks yummy!

  • @Makanai3 - pecan nut cluster -- these are still sold in Coney Island to this day. Also, while Luna Park was destroyed in a fire in 1942, it was re-opened just a couple of years ago. Too bad the Steeple Chase has not been re-opened!

I'll send you a PM with a link to that type of goody.

    :)
