This is not an exact note for note Tony Rice version but I think its pretty close, close enough to maybe get you started on the right track. My apologies for the video and audio errors (long story) but hopefully this will help get you started in the right direction. I didn't spend much time learning Rice's version closely this was just a quick learn from listening to him but I think for 20 years of being out of practice it's fairly close and I hope you agree and find it helpful. I've had several emails requesting I post this so good luck in picking it out, I do hope this helps.

  • Man you're really talented. I really enjoy your videos.

  • Thanks man, you're a very well rounded picker as well and I love your vids.

  • What a beautiful sounding guitar, is that an enlarged soundhole? Great picking man.

  • Thank you my friend! I appreciate that coming from a talented person such as yourself. Yes the sound hole is actually enlarged. I've had a lot of work done to this guitar but I thought it sounded pretty good before and was taking a risk, the modifications really helped it tho I think.

  • That's great! I couldn't pick this song this way so I worked it out in a little bit different style. Soon I'm gonna record it. :-)

  • Cool! I'd love to hear it, please post it when you do, I"ll be watching. :)

  • Nice! Im just trying to learn this tune :)

  • Yup you are correct, the part B I was referring to as the chorus. I did a search on utube and there is another guy posted just the chords to this song, that may help. And you're very welcome bro. Let me know if I can help.

  • Oh man... thank you! thank you! impossible to find tab or chords for this on the net. I will now use this and study your vid. and just to clarify...is part b the chorus?.. the "rocking chair" part

    thanx again and cheers

  • Sure thing. I'm actually playing the song in E flat, so with the capo on the third fret and assuming a C position as the root, the chords in the the verses are C, F, A minor, G C and the part b of the song chords are F, A minor, G, C, F, E minor, A minor G, F, G, C.

    I hope that helps. :)
