  • Hawkwind's version of this song is played on stage before every Oasis gig now, at Oasis's request!! Them gallagher boys always did have good taste in music!!

  • @stevevegetable Yeah. Dave can be such a grudgy fucker.

Although to be fair, I think the only ex-member that wasn't invited was Ginger Baker.

  • @KarmicAnarchist ye that was a shame ginger didnt play.i love levitation.its my favorite of all there studio albums.and the stuff he did on stonehenge decoded was great.i dont think mick slattery was there either if i remember rigtly.i may be wrong tho as i was off my tits that night.i met mick at glasto and spent the night chattin with him.i lent him a blanket to sleep in too cos he had nowhere to kip.he was a nice bloke.

  • @rugshort

ye i saw him wear that outfit a few times.niks played with our band a few times and hes a real nice bloke.spce ritual carry more of the hwind spirit these days but i have to admit im still a huge fan of hwind.

  • @uncleambient WHAT?

  • @stevevegetable Nik was wearing a strange spikey costume and Dave Brock's son kept tryin' to 'high-five' Lemmy, but he wasn't having it.

  • @rugshort

i was at that gig too.i was trippin my tits off and it was probly the best hwind gig id ever seen.was great to see all the old members playin together again.it was a shame brock got sam fox up to sing niks song.that gig finished the relationship between brock and nik turner and the dvd they filmed of it wont be released because of it.such shame that they cant bury there probs and revive there hippy values.it isnt the spirit of the age...come on guys

  • Sam fox? oh dear.

  • Fun look back at this. Vocals are superb, full of anger and conviction. Quite good.
