Please don´t laught at her - I met this woderfull woman when I was a child ashe was really great but she ended terribly - her only son murdered his step-father and was imprisoned and her psychic colapsed and she never went over that till novadays - she totally disappeared from the public life and lives totaly alone and she is seriously ill too with her heart and psychic.

Maybe you know it, but before olympics Vera had a big troubles with our stupid communistic goveverment, she had no chance for her practise and she was hidden in the forrest. No joking..

I was very sadden to hear that life has not been kind to her. I was small boy living in Mexico City when the 1968 Olympic Games took place in Mexico and people became very fond of dear Vera. I, too, include myself amongst those in Mexico and around the world. If you have details of her whereabouts . I would very much like to see if I could help her . best wishes

I was laughing at the person who said "Certainly, a time when women actually looked like WOMEN @ 18, not pre-pubescent little girls!" because we see the same people who make these comments that ALSO say things like "Olga Mostepanova has a great body for the sport.... we should see todays gymnasts like this, not like the steroid-using beings they are today!" And surely everyone will agree with them despite him/her wanting gymnasts not to look like kids in the last video she posted.
