This is Timber. He was adopted by Brenda and John from the Nova Scotia SPCA Metro shelter in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. Timber is a wonderful success story to show how one person's discarded dog can be another person's valuable service dog and family member.

Please check out their website at http://www.metro.spcans.ca/

PS My apologies for the poor quality, I had to record it then videotape it with my camera. :)

  • Wow. I have a 9 yr old Husky/Dalmatian mix who I have had since she was a pup. Last July I started having seizures for the first time in my life. Tonka did the exact same thing Timber does to warn me before each one. No training or anything. It is remarkable what dogs can do! Thank you for posting this video.

  • This is a excellent story how dogs can help people deal with seizures.

  • we are training a new beagle puppy for seizure alert. not the first dog done with this talent. it works and is not impossible to complete.

she will be service level and able to accompany her owner 24hrs/day anywhere she goes.

  • I love this story and I also love the profile on the SPCA website of Timber and Katie! This is how all animal owners should be, and more people should be giving shelter animals a chance! They need the love.

  • That's my girl T Cam!
