Yaroslav Plays at Shallowbrook Sweetheart Polo Game

Every year the Shallowbrook Polo Club, Somers CT, holds their annual Valentine's Day Sweetheart Polo Game. The 2009 game was held on February 19th.

These are some scenes of the chukkers that Yaroslav, who goes by Denis at Shallowbrook, played with his friend Cheyenne. There are two pairs of sweethearts on each team (Normally there are only three players in indoor arena polo) that play on a smaller field.

Some of players haven't ridden a horse in years, or ever, so experienced player like Yaroslav have to play with a handicap. But, the idea isn't to have a competitive game, it is to have fun. But, the sweethearts still play to win!
