That whole monk /Buddha image is intentionally promoted here to sell you that image that he is cool and inherently more intelligent than the rest of you. I say "the rest of you" because I made it through puberty and adolescence a long time ago. I don't know if he smokes or has smoked grass before and personally I don't care, but whoever believes that you can just absolutely know that someone hasn't smoked weed before just because they told you so, should really not stay out past 5:30pm.

@jffloyddd If you are referring to Rodney'y monkish attitude, he has always been that way. I don't know where you get the idea that he is promoting that and I don't see how your comment completely relates to the video or comments posted before-hand. He admits to smoking weed with his friends after school while skating for the Bones Brigade back when freestyle was big in his biographical book. The Mutt you see in this video is the Mutt himself, no pose or advertising here. That is Rodney Mullen!

@NINJAstudioz that is NOT true. In this very book, Rodney declares having smoked weed for a short while in his childhood at age ten, to fit in with Jack Iversen and his friends. If I'm wrong, please tell me on what page this was and what edition aof the book you have

@jffloyddd You know what mate, i can't say i agree with you, but i can understand where you're coming from. So many people do try and do the whole 'Buddha image' thing. But i truely believe this is the real Rodney Mullen. Really, what would he gain by pretending? He's arguably the best street skater in the world and whether he has a 'good' or 'bad' attitude doesn't change that.

After seeing this interview my entire view on Rodney has changed, i hadnt given much thought to him besides the Ok he started the flatground skating, popping ollies fliptricks and whatnot..but now that im a bit older and have started thinking alot more this guy seems as real as you can get. And you dont need to smoke weed to be intillectual, who knows if he still does or not, that doesnt matter. I wish i could hang with him for a week and just talk and skate, i could learn alot from him.
