Actually if you look at the Packards about three years earlier, they had the styling, and the designers went to Lincoln after Packard went bust. So you can see that a new Lincoln was actually a warmed over Packard, several years later. Whoever designed the Lincolns of the late '50s, and early '60s is another story altogether. Don

This was the last year of great styling that was a modification of the '56; a better, more pure style. By 1958, Lincoln styling became bizarre, and quite a land barge.
