In this video, Coleman Barks reads one of his own poems from his series: "There ain't nothin like it". This poem is "Fish Gone Fishin". The event was at Spirit Rock in Woodacre, California. Coleman came to read from a new book "Mala of the Heart" that featured many of Coleman's Rumi translations. He is truly one of the most charming and sweet people I've ever met. Hope you enjoy his message here. It was one of my favorites.

  • @Treazurchest Glad you liked it. I have a lot more that I need to post but I wanted to start with this one because the message is so fantastic.

  • Thank u for postiing. I love everything about Coleman Barks, his poetry, his translation of Rumi & especially his poetry readings. i've never met him, so I loved ur impression of him, it's how i hoped he would be. here's how i feel when i listen to him: Submerged in his voice Each word fills me up Like a warm honey infused magical transfusion and I become the innocent Swooped up Gently held holy safely stored for a brief moment. For me it doesn’t get any better then that.
