  • @mrbit10 AdobePC will absolutely SMOKE you on computer knowledge...he OWNS you in his later power supply video

  • What are the specs of your pc?

  • fuck its not modular ...

  • @blacksteel25

Yeah. Kinda bugs me when people recommend the AX series from Corsair over the HX simply because it has modular motherboard and CPU connectors and 2-3% higher efficiency. They're $25-30 more expensive.

Even stupider is that Corsair expects people to pay $190 for the AX850 when you can get a CM Silent Pro Gold 1000W for $200 and the XFX Pro XXX 850W for $155. The SeaSonic SS-850HT is even available for $125, and there's the Corsair TX750 V2 for $100.

  • @Atheismrulez yes it is for most cheap cases. I was thinking of going modular too, but I had a bad experience with an Antec PSU that was modular and just reluctant to get another one. I'll say that you should avoid the Fully modular ones and go with Semi-Modular. Fully Modular is just dumb, it's not like your not going to need the power to the motherboard and a few Sata power connections.

Most mid tower cases now, even the cheap $50 ones, are coming with cable routing holes. That alone makes everything a lot more neat even if you have non-modular. The only point I see in going with the $120+ PSUs is if you need the higher efficiency and possibly a bit more wattage.

  • My PSU went out over the weekend, well it powers on, but doesn't boot the PC, quite strange for this to happen when everything else powers on fine. I bit the bullet and ordered a new Corsair 750 Watt TX V2. I sure didn't want too, but this spare 350 Watt I'm using isn't going to power it forever. I'd say for modular PSU get it if you are using a small case, Full Tower to Mid size case you can hide the cables in the back of the case if it's a newer PC Case quite easily.

  • @Atheismrulez ill look into it

  • @taylor9124 Under $100 is not an answer.

  • @xep00 It makes it neater inside and helps with airflow. Less cables in the way mean more air is getting to your parts to keep them cooler.
