Actress Joann Havrilla as Prudence "Prudy" Pingleton in the 1988 John Waters film "Hairspray" being an overly dramatic white bread woman in a black neighborhood in the 1960s. Classic! Wino played by Tipper Burton and women on the street played by Mary Jefferson and Alfie Brown. Copyright Warner Bros and New Line Cinema. I do not own the content in this video, all copyright belongs to WB and New Line. No infringement intended.
@koujisfreak1 That's because they "gentrified" the remake to make it more palatable to the masses, and that's why I HATED the remake. John Waters' original movies were always more for people who didn't have a problem with diversity or weirdness. They weren't made for the general public to consume. Some people liked them and some people didn't and I didn't have a problem with that. Obviously they put making money ahead of artistic integrity and originality.
