  • What is the reason for the waterbath & does it not cause problems with rusting of mild steel material?

  • @Simonh1959 The waterbath eliminates most of the dust and debris from entering the air from the plasma cutting process. Since the table is powder coated their isn’t much need to protect the table from rusting. The slats however will start rusting once the water is removed, but it isn’t bad. Cutting steel that has a mill scale won’t rust if left on the table but if you use steel that has the scale removed the material will start rusting if not dried off.

  • @Simonh1959 The smoke that is released is terrible and Will give you alzheimer's

  • @121ego we only provide them on TMX turnkey tables and they are just hot roll 3/16 flat bar.

  • @torchmatedotcom - why do you power coat the slats? They would fill with plasma dust (or become cut and damaged by the arc) in a shorter time it will rust.
