@pestie67 I never understand when people make this claim. First of all, if you a United States citizen, then neither of the world wars were ever really a threat to you. Second of all, when did Hitler ever threaten to change your spoken language?

About 3rd Parties: The question is will the others abandon the Republican party if the party adopts a strict Libertarian line? Otherwise, citing McCain as the best example, all you are going to get is Liberal-Lite from the Republicans. If I remember correctly it was a Republican governor that passed state run health care in Massachusetts.

We're in this mess because Bush spent like a drunken sailor. Tax cuts must be accompanied by spending cuts. Any mom or dad balancing their checkbook understands this. I am a fiscal conservative and therefore never supported Bush, nor understood why so many did. Now Obama is spending like a drunken sailor with a cocaine habit...
