TOBY SURGERY VIDEO

Toby had surgery today to fix his umbilical hernia, have his teeth cleaned, have a diseased tooth removed, and had his nails ground back as far as possible.

Dr. Spence, our good vet, did a great job and Toby cycles between wide awake and sleeping every few minutes as he will be on pretty good pain meds for the next 4-5 days. He also has antibiotics for a week. His seizures were a concern going into surgery, but he has only had one small seizure since. His stitches will come out in 2 weeks. Until his stitches are out he is not allowed to run, jump, or play so tonight he got doggie jail from a nice family in North Phoenix who were selling their doggie jail on craiglist for only $10. His large animal crate will be home for the next two weeks and then he should be 100%.

my dog had her surgery today and i'll be seeing her tomorrow. after watching toby in his little crate.. (and the stitches, AND the fact that licking might occur) i don't think i'd want to go to office tomorrow. i'd rather stay and take care of my little dog.
