Please never do this treatment. Never Use Water in a cats or dogs ear.

@Shannyy67 Not my pet, not my call. This cat was just fixed; it was his first trip to the vet; odd results. I told the vet that this cat had had ear mites. Strangely enough, though, he didn't have ear mites during the neuter visit, but he did have a HORRIBLE infection in his ear. This would explain the foul odor & discharge. From this we learn: take the cat to the VET. The problem may NEVER have been ear mites, but rather an ear infection. There is no substitute for good information!
