how about a 6 step? On its RX side. Like 483.29375? The new public safety agreement to move all agency to a 6 channel step by january 2013. Its already began here in NYC.

I believe so. If I tune the radio to any frequency (for example) 462.650mhz or 462.6625mhz, then go the the menu and select "Wide/Narrow" I can change it to either option. When set to narrow, the audio becomes a little more louder. I am not too familiar with what narrowband is and how it works and why, but know there is an option for it.

I cant stress enough to make sure you completely discharge the battery before putting it on the charger. It will fail very early if you dont. Trust me, I learned that the hard way!

Thanks for that info about the battery, it seems hard to believe because I thought the Nickel Metal Hydr batterys do not suffer memory problems like the old Nicads did ?.

@AustinPetDetective
Not sure if it is considered a memory problem or not but it is very important for these to be charged correctly. Lithium Ion batteries are the best way to go, as they do not suffer from charging at random times...
