Lead Belly also did a version, his is very similar to blind Willies but in typical Lead Belly fasion he tells a story about the song as he sings it. All three of those guys were absolute masters at what they do, but for me, Blind Willie Johnson is the most powerful.

Blind Willie Johnson recorded a powerful version of this song as well, their styles make a beautiful contrast I think.
