The best way to show you the excitement and intensity of Trotting is to give you a ride with a horse and a driver in a race !
So i had to invest in a new camera to bring something new.

Cornelis Loman was interested in my camera from the start and offered me a ride with his Peppina AL.
This is a scoop ! So i really had to show the raw, unedited images, before mixing it up with my pictures and the racevideo.
Cornelis had to switch horses really fast after the race, so the warm-up with little Belle Amie (3rd in the 2010 Dutch Breeders Crown for two year-olds) is an extra !

Peppina AL is a five year old mare. Daughter of Sugar Candor and Pepper Frisia from Volo Prise. She was bred by Cornelis' brother Alle, who resides in the Czech Republic. Peppina had 4 wins in the Czech Republic before moving to Holland.
She is for sale, because Cornelis is awaiting the young horses for next year, and he has to make some room in his stables.

Peppina is a sweet mare, easy to ride. This day wasn't really her day. Finishing unplaced after having an impossible number at the starting post and a hot pace in the front.
In her first races in Holland, Peppina was placed twice for the money.

I think Peppina would also be a great broodmare, with her very nice bloodlines.

Cornelis Loman is an excellent driver and one of my favorites in The Netherlands. I like his opportunistic, attacking style a lot.
He was taught by the best, for example when being part of Tjitse Smeding's cavalry.

Cornelis has been successful mainly in The Netherlands and Germany.
This year a highpoint for the Loman-family was when winning the Classic Joffer Trot with flying Charming Oreau.

Above all, the Loman-family are fantastic people to meet and get along with.

Peppina AL is een super lieve merrie. Bovendien beschikt de merrie over zeer goede bloedlijnen. Haar moeder Pepper Frisia (1.17.1, €. 24.337) was een uitstekend koerspaard. Zij is op haar beurt een dochter van de elite merrie Udi Pepper.
Grootmoeder Jessy Pepper bewees haar grote waarde in de fokkerij. Via haar komen we middels Apocalyspe Now en Noblesse Oblige (1.13.0, €. 60.306) uit bij Nu Pagadi (1.10.9, €. 637.191).
Peppina AL kwam inmiddels 20 keer aan de start. Ze was 14 keer geplaatst waarvan 4 maal als eerste. Ze is een ideaal amateur/amatrice paard.

De eerste keer en de 7 keren daarna heb ik zelf ook ademloos zitten kijken. Het is wat je verwacht, maar dan nog intenser..

Cornelis Loman en Frans Gorter die achteraan koersen voor een bak koffie ! ;o) Prachtig !

Ja, dat plakspul in Wolvega bleef daar nog zitten, moet je nagaan hoe weinig de jongens en meisjes vaak zien.
