Look at him mock his audience at :29. There's no need for that type of behavior. I've read several bios of Cobain and he was an unhappy, depressed guy. IMO his contempt for his fans was just a projection of his own self-loathing. I feel bad for him.
FANTASTIC song btw. IMO one of Nirvana's most underrated tunes....particularly the droning part that starts at 3:16 and lasts until the end of the song.
