  • Religion is the greatest FRAUD in all history. No intelligent person believes in angels, miracles and an eternal afterlife with an imaginary magic-boss in the sky.

  • I love the way people act as though Hitchens is some kind of mystical anomaly because his politics don't align perfectly with either the left or the right. Surely it is a sign of a sane and impartial mind to base your opinions on a considered examination of the facts, rather that on tribal allegiance.

He has said that the closest thing he has to a hero is George Orwell. I'd recommend reading Orwell's essay "Notes on Nationalism" to understand why Hitchens' politics are non-partisan.

  • @goldstead Yes religion is a fraud, but your wrong. There are intelligent people who believe that bullshit.

  • The sleep of reason brings forth monsters.

  • @nigelsenchez The teachers of Christianity are in general the most ignorant of the true meaning of what they teach. There is no book of which so little is known as the Bible,to most who read it it is as incomprehensible as the Zohar or Book Of Mormon. There is no way anyone not familiar with Catholic faith would read the Bible and come up with the Catholic dogma of the Trinity, the Millenarianism ,Eschaetology or the religious observances they practice.

  • @SuperPatrick777 The study of theology as it stands in Christian churches, is the study of nothing; it is founded on nothing; it rests on no principles; it proceeds by no authorities; it has no? data; it can demonstrate nothing; and admits of no conclusion. Not any thing can be studied as a science without our being in possession of the principles upon which it is founded; and as this is not the case with Christian theology, it is therefore the study of nothing.

  • @Shriner66 con't

personal termanologies not scientific jargon .

  • @Shriner66 i won't give a long drawn out answer to this ,that may well be a waste of time , the long day [ as it is sometimes called ] did happen , not only is it recorded in the bible but there's a record of it in other cultures as well , as for the sun standing still , it looked that way to the people on earth , like you and any other human being would say the sun is going down or up ,[ sunset or sun rise ] , no one would " lol " , and remember , the bible is a personal book and uses ..tbc

  • @SuperPatrick777 Of course it's real history, every knows that the sun stood still! LOL

  • @johnmacward : There are better places for you to find a boyfriend surely.

  • @TheManWithTVEyes And you're an arrogant prick.

  • Adaptations are observable, as are extinctions & Medellin principles. Darwinian (more aptly: Sumerian) evolution is conjectural (and wildly so as it's based on extrapolations to the nth degree). Here Mankind stands in century 2 of the simian-worshiping, pro-eugenics religion of the liberally-tattooed, functionally-illiterate masses of community college "educated" 20-something-know-nothings.
