oh ok thanks for the info. Yeah im very happy with it, ive proper toughened up on my security after having virus problems in the past (including one on my last laptop which disabled installing all exe files and disabled my dvd drive!!) very nasty

UPDATE: The New AdAware 2009/2010 Free with New Genotype Detection Scanner...is just as BAD as the old AdAware!! Lousy detection rate, Sloppy, incomplete removal, Slow full scan and BLOATED program altogether. Still Sucks! Stay Away!!

@Idolpurist - I agree, but many users still use the old programs that are no longer as effective: AVG, AdAware, ZoneAlarm, there are many better programs for free :-)

Ha! Thanks for replying. A friend continually resign$ his Zone Alarm Security Suite every year.
I can't tell you how many times infections made their way into his PC. So many folks refuse to embrace the newer, faster, better apps out there.
Old habits are hard to break.

@Idolpurist - ZoneAlarm, AdAware and AVG USED to be good - but now they lag well behind and people use them because it is what they know and it it trying to educate users into using better alternatives :-)

Hi have u heard of giant antispyware? its quite rare n im positive its not rogue. it got really good removal rstes on one test online.
At the moment ive got eset nod32 antivirus 4, spyware doctor n outpost firewall.

ballack14231 - giant antispyware was bought by Microsoft in 2004, and later became part of Windows Defender. It's NOT a rogue and hang on to it while you can. Your security is pretty good and if you are happy with it then stick with it.
