Yeah. I need to go into the studio and redo a lot of these videos. It's a combination of the reverb and the room sound. The living room where we recorded this had a lot of slap-back echo and it just jumbled our sound. Sorry....

Paul Rivera did not design for Mesa. In '76 he started Rivera R&D. He would go on to consult for Yamaha and design for Fender starting in '81 with some higher gain versions of Fender's classic amps like the highly sought after 18 watt Super Champ, and others such as the the Concert, Twin II, Deluxe Reverb II and ss amps like the London Reverb, and others.

"...and the mystery is solved!
I sent Rivera an email yesterday and thanks to a quick reply they confirmed Paul did indeed consult for Mesa from '76-'79."

It's been 11 months and I'm still leaving the reverb in there. It's hard to produce these dam videos and at the time we did it the combination of the room and the reverb kind of boomed the sound out of control. The commentary however makes up for the shitty sound. And I'm playing the guitar quite well! Live with the reverb and there's less work. This stuff is all free so what's there to worry about? That's my take on it sorry.
