Hundreds of children here in Kenya orphaned by the HIV/AIDS scourge have ended up in children's homes or in the streets as street urchins and muggers. But two brothers orphaned at the ages of 9 and 7 have stunned many in Katitu village in the outskirts of Kisumu town by engaging themselves in fishing in order to get money to educate themselves. Bernard and Collins Tawa who also lost three of their siblings because of the disease have also been fending for their ageing grandmother. Despite the challenges they face each day, the two siblings have big dreams ahead.

@Laivlee come with me to Kanyatta national hospital and you will see a cross section of Kenyan community suffering include members of your family.
Population census are just about figures that is subject to manipulation just like Kibaki and Kivuitu manipulated the 2007 elections

@OTIENDEJAKOYUGI in your twisted mind you think the only thing that the GEMA nation media should cover in Nyanza is the AIDS stories .Are there no AIDS stories in central province or even in the streets of Nairobi koinange street, karomaindo etc

Explains the drop in Luo population from the 2nd in Kenya to the 4th. HIV hit this community very hard.

Nation media likes this kind of stories of Aids in Nyanza forgetting that AIDS exists everywhere in the Banana republic of Kenya. Go to Kiambu,Muranga,Nyeri etc there are similar kind of stories but for some reasons only known to them they just like the stories from Nyanza.
