TROLL Bridge.MOV

This is a movie given to me by some friends. It is their trip to see the Troll, I call him Clarence, on South State Street under the Stadium Boulevard bridge in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

An older sign on the bridge said Clearance 13'-6", which of course was erroneous on two counts; the spelling of his name and that he is more likely over 15 feet tall if standing (his squatting height is about 8 feet).

Sadly, Clarence went missing the next day. From the evidence, he was taken forcibly!

There was some question about the squirrel in Clarence's hand. Some thought it was a friend and others thought a snack. I consulted with an expert, Professor Ari Berk, the author of "the Secret History of Giants", and he said. "Jonathan, this is a little disturbing. Here in Mount Pleasant, we usually spray for bridge trolls. It appears things have gotten out of hand down in your neck of the woods. The squirrel, I suspect, is being used by the troll as a kind of primitive lure. He would throw the squirrel into the street, and when the cars screeched to a halt, he could then, at his leisure, pluck his lunch from the now stationary sedan."
