Painting My Dreams Chapter 1

Megan is your average teen-age girl. She has a ton of friends, family she loves, but can’t stand to be around 24/7 and probably the biggest crush ever on Nick Jonas. Yepp. Just your average teen-age girl. Unfortunately, since her and her friends fell in love with them a little over two years ago, they haven’t been able to get within ten feet of Nick and his brothers, concerts included. If only her luck could change around, Megan’s world would be absolutely perfect.

Megan’s ipod blared from her car’s speakers as she drove home from her last day of her junior year. She couldn’t believe that it was already over and she was a senior. There’s a scary thought. College. Chills ran through her spine for the thought of the future was indeed scary. She dismissed it though, and focused on her plans for the summer. Her and two of her best friends were going to stay with the fourth member of their tight group on the Vineyard for a week. The four girls have been inseparable since their sophomore year and plan to remain that way forever. Megan pulled into her driveway and turned off the music just in time to hear her phone ring in her bag beside her.
“Hello?” she said.
“Yo.” her friend Emily responded. “You have to get to a computer, and fast.”
“Haha. Okay, hold on. I just got home.”
“Okay, but hurry.”
“I’m going, I’m going.” Megan grabbed her bag and her ipod and got out of her car. Once inside her house, she dropped her bag and headed straight to the computer.
“Okay, I’m at a computer.”
“Okay, go to bandinabus.com.”
“Okay....” Megan typed in the website her friend told her. “I’m here, now what?”
“See the thing in the bottom, the little barish thing that says win a vacation?”
“Yeah.”
“Click on it.”
“Okay... OH MY GOD. WE COULD WIN A VACATION WITH THE JONAS BROTHERS?” she screamed as she read the details of the contest.
“Haha, yepp. See why I wanted you to get to a computer?!”
“YES! Okay, I’m entering. Did you tell Kjirsten and Megan Campbell about it?”
“Kjirsten I told, Megan Campbell didn’t answer her phone. She could have been driving, who knows.”
“Okay, I’ll text her after. Oh my God, could you imagine a vacation with the three most amazing boys in the world!”
“EPP! I know!”
“Okay, well I’m going to go. We still on for the movies later?”
“Okay. And yes. Defiantly. See you then.”
“Byes.”
“Haha. Bye.”
Megan shut her phone and put it on the counter beside the computer.
“A vacation with the Jonas Brothers. We’ll need more than luck to win that. So I guess, I shouldn’t start packing any time soon... or ever.” She thought. Megan and her three best friends have entered countless numbers of contests within the past two years. The sad part is, they’ve lost them... all. All Megan wanted was to meet them, once, for like five minutes and she just knew they would never forget her.
