Obviously you know nothing about Shinkendo and its founder. Why would you compare Shinkendo to Kendo? Shinkendo is more closely related to Aikido and Iaido than anything else, really. If you're judging it by its name then decide to compare it to Kendo then you're presumptuous and sorely mistaken. It's like saying "Muai Thai has nothing to do with TaeKwonDo... comic book stuff!!!"
Please think or do some research before you show your ignorance.

I've been reading about Obata Kaiso and have ordered his books. As you say, he like most others are trained in many art forms. My experience is much more limited but Aikido is also an interest of mine. For now I'll be focusing on just Iaido unless Shinkendo comes to Sweden. P.S. you're english is fine :)

scottishkendo is right, shinkendo is made up bullshido. If there is serious persons that call their practice "shinkendo", they are not part of this video.
I find particularly amusing the part when they swing their sword like it is a baseball bat. Oh wait, they do that pretty much all the time. ★★★★★

@SquadbayNinja said "Please think or do some research before you show your ignorance."
But then he would not be showing his ignorance. No part of your comment made any sense.

Are you practice kendo, or not?

then why use a name shinkendo........it implies real or correct way of the sword....which it clealry isnt....related to aikido and iaido...you mean made up..... guess you only have done "shinkendo" otherwise you know why it seems odd compared with real koryu....back to the comic book!

We have Shinkendo in America. I've been learning it for two-and-a-half years. I still need to cut, though. I'm really looking forward to tameshigiri.
